EDD1 (EDD, DD5, E3 Identified by Differential Display, Hyperplastic Discs Protein Homolog, HYD, KIAA0896, Progestin Induced Protein)
Description:
This gene encodes a progestin-induced protein, which belongs to the HECT (homology to E6-AP carboxyl terminus) family. The HECT family proteins function as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases, targeting specific proteins for ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis. This gene is localized to chromosome 8q22 which is disrupted in a variety of cancers. This gene potentially has a role in regulation of cell proliferation or differentiation.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Not recommended for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
