Technical Data
E2230-13
Elastase, Neutrophil
Description:
Elastase is a serine protease which exhibits endopeptidase activity on many proteins, its principal substrate, however, is elastin and it is unique among proteases in its ability to hydrolyse native elastin. It is present in the pancreas, leukocytes and serum. Elastase consists of a single polypeptide chain with a molecular weight of 29.5kD.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
