Description:
Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blotting. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution: Western blotting: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (30-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |

Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 55-70 of human EndoG (GGPRGPGELAKYGLP).
Purity:
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.02% sodium azide.
Specificity:
Recognizes Endonuclease G (EndoG), a mitochondrion-specific nuclease that translocates to the nucleus and cleaves chromatin DNA during apoptosis. EndoG is specifically activated by apoptotic stimuli and is able to induce nucleosomal fragmentation of DNA independently of caspase and DFF/CAD (1,2). Species Crossreactivity: Human, mouse and rat.
