Murine Eotaxin shares many of the biological and physical characteristics of Human Eotaxin. This chemokine exhibits a high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils and belongs to the b-chemokine family (C-C) of cytokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1alpha, Murine eotaxin is an 8.4kD protein containing 74 amino acid residues. Biological Activity: Recombinant Murine Eotaxin is fully biologically active compared to standard. Murine Eotaxin was found to induce chemotaxis of purified eosinophils at concentrations ranging between 100-1000ng/ml. Responding Cells (partial list): Eosinophils Concentration Range for most in vitro applications: 100-1000 ng/ml Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Country of Origin: USA Molecular Weight: 8.4kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder without additives. (The protein may appear as a haze or film which is difficult to see at the bottom of the vial). Reconstitute with ddH2O, 0.1% BSA or HSA to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. Further dilutions should be made with a buffer.
