Murine Eotaxin shares many of the biological and physical characteristics of Human Eotaxin. This chemokine exhibits a high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils and belongs to the b-chemokine family (C-C) of cytokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1alpha, Murine eotaxin is an 8.4kD protein containing 74 amino acid residues.

Biological Activity: Recombinant Murine Eotaxin is fully biologically active compared to standard. Murine Eotaxin was found to induce chemotaxis of purified eosinophils at concentrations ranging between 100-1000ng/ml.

Responding Cells (partial list): Eosinophils

Concentration Range for most in vitro applications: 100-1000 ng/ml

Storage and Stability:

Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer. Aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
