EphB2, also known as Cek5, Nuk, Erk, Qek5, Tyro5, Sek3, Hek5, and Drt, is a 125kD member of the transmembrane Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family. The 90kD extracellular domain (ECD) can be shed from neurons by calcium ionophores or NMDA receptor agonists. EphB2 interaction with Ephrin-A5 promotes axonal growth cone collapse, while its interaction with Ephrin-B ligands is required for inner ear, renal, urorectal, and vascular development. Within the ECD, mouse EphB2 shares 99% aa sequence identity with human and rat EphB2.

Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml
Western Blot: 2ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS.. Aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
