Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), Viral Capsid Antigen, gp120 (Biotin) |
|
|
Description: Gp120 is a major protein of the icosahedral capsid of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). EBV infection is highly prevalent worldwide, and in most patients it is asymptomatic. Occasionally, primary exposure to EBV results in infectious mononucleosis. It may have a causative role in human cancers, such as Burkitt lymphoma and nasopharynx carcinoma, and lymphomas. EBV induces the immortalization of primary human B cells in vitro. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay. |
