Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), Latent Membrane Protein (LMP) mixed clones
Description:
This antibody stains strongly with EBV positive lymphoblastoid cell lines and EBV infected B cell immunoblasts in infectious mononucleosis.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:25-1:75
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
Infected lymphoblastoma

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Specificity:
Recognizes the 60kD latent membrane protein (LMP-1) encoded by the BNLF1 gene of the EBV. Each clone reacts with different epitopes on the hydrophilic c-terminus of the cytoplasmic domain of LMP-1.
