Recombinant human FABP is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. Fatty acid binding protein is one of a group of low- molecular weight proteins involved in the solubilization and transport of fatty acids. The release of cytoplasmic heart fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP) into the plasma of cardiac patients is used as a marker of cardiac damage. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 19.3kD |
