Description:
Fatty Acid-binding Proteins are a family of homologous 14-15kD cytoplasmic proteins that are expressed in highly tissue-specific manner and play an integral role in the balance between lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. FABPs have been reported to be involved in the uptake and metabolism of fatty acids, maintenance of cellular membrane fatty acids levels, intracellular trafficking, modulation of specific enzymes of lipid metabolic pathways, as well as in the modulation of cell growth and differentiation.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
