Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP) |
|
|
Description: Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP) is a cell surface glycoprotein of reactive human fibroblasts. Among the normal adult organs tested, F4208-50 does not show immunoreactivity in immunohistological studies with either resting fibroblasts (fibrocytes) of the normal origin mesenchyme or the parenchymal cells. The single exception noted is a subset of endocrine cells in the pancreatic islets, presumably glucagon-producing A cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Stains unfixed, acetone-fixed or ethanol-fixed frozen sections. Acetone-fixed frozed sections yield optimal staining results. Not suitable for paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
