Fibroblast Activation Protein alpha (FAPa, FAP, DKFZP686G13158, EC 3.4.21.-, Seprase)
Description:
Fibroblast Activation Protein alpha is a homodimeric integral membrane gelatinase belonging to the serine protease family. It is selectively expressed in reactive stromal fibroblasts of epithelial cancers, granulation tissue of healing wounds, and malignant cells of bone and soft tissue sarcomas. This protein is thought to be involved in the control of fibroblast growth or epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during development, tissue repair and epithelial carcinogenesis.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 20ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
Skin, Hair Follicle

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
