Recombinant Human FGF-acidic (FGF-1) is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 15aa and having a molecular weight of 17.4kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Met-Phe-Asn-Leu-Pro. Contains less than 1% dimers and aggregates. Source: Recombinant Human FGF-acidic, expressed in E. coli. Molecular weight: 17.4kD Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug). Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of BAF3 cells expressing FGF receptors (measured by 3H-thymidine uptake) is <10ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e5Units/mg. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration 100ug/ml. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 17.4kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 95% (HPLC, FPLC, SDS-PAGE). Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 10mM Tris, pH 7.6, 100mM sodium chloride. No preservative added. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration 100ug/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
