FGF4 is a heparin binding growth factor that is a member of the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF4 signals through the FGFR1c, 2c, 3c, and 4. Recombinant human FGF4 is a 19.7kD protein consisting of 182 amino acids. Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors is 0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a speci c activity of 2x10e6 units/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS, 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Country of Origin: USA Molecular Weight: 19.7kD |
Source: Recombinant, human (E. coli) Purity: 95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug). Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 10mM sodium phopshate, pH 7.4, 100mM sodium chloride.
