Recombinant protein corresponding to human Fibroblost Growth Factor 8 expressed in E. coli. Endotoxin: <0.1ng/ug Biological Activity: ED50 0.5ng/ml ( 2 x 106 units/mg), determined by the dose dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors. FGF-8, also known as Androgen-Induced Growth Factor (AIGF), is a heparin binding growth factor expressed by prespermatogonia in the testes and antral follicles in the ovary. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C with a carrier protein. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~22.4kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: ~95% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 10mM Tris, pH 8.0, 75mM sodium chloride. Reconstitute with 10mM Tris, pH 8.0 to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. Do not vortex. Further dilute for extended storage with a buffer containing a carrier protein (0.1% BSA or HSA).
