Fibroblast Growth Factor-10 (FGF10) is a heparin binding growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF10 is most related to KGF/FGF-7 and is expressed during development and preferentially in adult lungs. It signals through FGFR2b. Human FGF10 is a 19.3kD protein containing 170 amino residues. Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors is 0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a speci c activity of 2x10e6 units/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 3 months at -20°C with a carier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Aliquot to prevent repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Country of Origin: USA Molecular Weight: 19.3kD |
Source: Recombinant, human (E. coli) Purity: 95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug). Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS. Reconstitute in PBS, pH 7.4 to 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
