Source: Recombinant corresponding to 207aa from human Fibroblast Growth Factor 16 expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~23.7kD Activity: ED50 < 0.5ng/ml (> 2 x 106units/mg), determined by the dose dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors. FGF-16 is a heparin binding growth factor that is expressed by brown adipocytes. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
