Molecular Weight:

ED50 < 0.5ng/ml (> 2 x 106units/mg), determined by the dose dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors. FGF-16 is a heparin binding growth factor that is expressed by brown adipocytes.

Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
