Technical Data
Fibroblast Growth Factor 18, Recombinant, Human (FGF18)
Molecular Biology Storage: -20CShipping: Blue Ice
The FGFs play key roles in controlling tissue growth, morphogenesis and repair in animals. FGF-18 is a newly discovered heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express FGF receptors. Recombinant Human FGF-18 is a 21.2kD protein containing 182aa.

Biological Activity:
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors is 0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a speci c activity of
2x10e6 units/mg.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 5mM Tris and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.e made in assay buffer.
