The FGF family plays important roles in morphogenesis, cellular differentiation, angiogenesis, tissue remodeling, in ammation and oncogenesis. Fibroblast Growth Factor-20 (FGF-20) is a newly discovered neurotrophic factor belonging to the FGF family. FGF-20 is most similar to FGF-9 and FGF-16. Recombinant Human FGF-20 is a 23.2kDa protein containing 209 amino acid residues. Reconstitution: Reconstitute in sterile dH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers. Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is 10ng/ml, corresponding to a speci c activity of 1 x 10e5 units/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Country of Origin: USA Molecular Weight: 23.2kD |
