Fibronectin (FN, Cold-insoluble Globulin) |
|
|
Description: Fibronectin circulates in plasma and it is thought that this represents a soluble precursor pool for tissue fibronectin. Fibronectin forms a network of fibrils upon which tissues are organised. Cells adhere to fibronectin and this allows cell movement in organogenesis, tissue turnover and wound repair. The normal plasma concentration of fibronectin is around 0.3g/L.Fibronectin has quite a complex structure, its native molecular weight is 460-500kDa. It is a dimer, each subunit consisting of 12 type I modules, 2 type II modules and 15-17 type III modules. Applications: Suitable for use in RID. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
