GLT (Galectin-1, Lectin Galactoside-binding Soluble 1, Beta-galactoside-binding Lectin L-14-I, Lactose-binding Lectin 1, S-Lac lectin 1, Galaptin, 14kD Lectin, HPL, HBL, Putative MAPK-activating Protein PM12, LGALS1, 14kD Laminin-binding Protein)
Description:
The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. /gkt (LGALS1) may act as an autocrine negative growth factor that regulates cell proliferation.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:1,000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
