Glutathione-S-Transferase [Schistosoma japonicum] (AP)
Description:
GST (Glutathione S-Transferase) is a 26kD protein encoded by the parasitic helminth Schistosoma japonicum and widely used in the pGEX family of GST plasmid expression vectors as a fusion protein with foreign proteins.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: 1:1000-1:5000
Western Blot: 1:200-1:1000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:2000
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Freezing alkaline phosphatase conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity.

Form
Supplied as a liquid in 0.05M Tris chloride, 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.001M magnesium chloride, 0.0001M zinc chloride, pH 8.0, 10mg/ml BSA, (IgG and Protease free), 0.01% sodium azide, 50% glycerol. Labeled with Alkaline Phosphatase (AP).
Specificity:
Recognizes Glutathione-S-Transferase. Assay by IEP resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum, anti-alkaline phosphatase, as well as purified and partially purified Glutathione-S-Transferase [Schistosoma japonicum]. Cross reactivity against Glutathione-STransferase from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
