Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) is a potent stimulator of bone marrow cells, especially those of neutrophil lineage. In addition, G-CSF can enhance the survival and activate the immunological functions of mature neutrophils. Murine G-CSF is a 19.0kD protein containing 179 amino acid residues. Source: E.coli Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 5mM Sodium citrate, pH 4.0. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin: 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug) Reconstitution: Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile ddH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. Biological Activity: The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 cells is 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2x10e7 units/mg.
