HDAC8, phosphorylated (Ser39) (Histone Deacetylase 8, HD8, CDA07, HDAC8, HDACL1) |
|
|
Description: HDAC8 is a 377 residue class I enzyme that lies close to the phylogenetic boundary between the class I and class II histone deacetylases and maps to the X chromosome (Xq13). HDAC8, under the regulation of PKA, plays an important role in determining the acetylation state of histones. HDAC8 is phosphorylated by cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) which decreases the activity of HDAC8 and leads to the hyperacetylation of histones H3 and H4. Pathological role of HDAC8 has been observed in one of the most frequent types of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
