Human Hemofiltrate CC chemokine-1 (HCC-1) was first isolated from the hemofiltrate of patients with chronic renal failure. HCC-1 has a 46% amino acid sequence identity with MIP-1a/MIP-1b and 29-37% homology with other CC chemokines. Human HCC-1 is an 8.4kD protein containing 72 amino acid residues. Source: E.coli Form: The sterile filtered solution was lyophilized without additives. Stability The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted HCC-1 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Purity: 99% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug). Reconstitution: We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or- 20°C for future use. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 5-20ng/ml.
