Applications:
Suitable for use in Dot Blot, Immunohistochemistry and cell surface binding. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Dot Blot: 10-100ng of gp120 in solid phase (membrane bound).
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 to 1:100 dilution range of gold conjugate.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Coupling Ratio:
OD520nm = 10; Protein content approx. 50ug

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Gold conjugates are light sensitive.

Supplied as a liquid in 10mM Tris, pH 8.0, 5% BSA, 0.05% PEG, 0.02% sodium azide. Conjugated to Colloidal Gold (approx. 30nm mean diameter).

Specificity:

Binds to V3-loop of HIV-1 gp120/gp160. Crossreactivity: MN, IIIB, RF, SF2 and other primary HIV-1 isolates. Cell surface binding was performed with HIV-1 infected lymphocytes enriched from human PBL's.
