Description: Heparan-sulfate 6-O-sulfotransferase 1 (HS6ST1) is one of three enzymes that catalyze sulfation at the 6-O position of N-acetylglucosamine residues in heparan sulfate. Heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) interact with a variety of proteins, such as growth factors, protease inhibitors, cytokines, lipoprotein lipase and viral envelope proteins. HSPGs play roles in a wide variety of processes including cell growth, differentiation, and motility, blood coagulation, lipid metabolism, and viral infection. Within the lumenal domain, human and mouse HS6ST1 share 97% aa sequence. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 25ug/ml. Detects HS6ST1 in paraffin-embedded normal and cancer human liver tissue sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma cells with B cells from mouse immunized with purified, CHO cell-derived recombinant human HS6ST1. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
