Murine IFN-gamma is a regulatory protein produced by activated NK cells and CD4+TCR alpha-beta+, CD8+TCR alpha-beta+, and TCR gamma-delta+ T cells. Biological activities of IFN-gamma include specific binding to a single class of high affinity receptors. Recombinant murine IFNg is a 15.6kD protein containing 134 amino acid residues. Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by a cytopathic effect inhibition assay with murine NIH 3T3 cells challenged with VSV virus was 0.1ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e7units/mg. Amino Acid Sequence: MHGTVIESLE SLNNYFNSSG IDVEEKSLFL DIWRNWQKDG DMKILQSQII SFYLRLFEVL KDNQAISNNI SVIESHLITT FFSNSKAKKD AFMSIAKFEV NNPQVQRQAF NELIRVVHQL LPESSLRKRK RSRC Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. For extended storage it is recommended to further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein (0.1% BSA). Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 15.6kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug). Concentration: ~1mg/ml Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 10mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.0, 25mM sodium chloride. Reconstitute in sodium phosphate, pH 8.0 to 1mg/ml. Further dilutions should be made into RPMI + 10% FCS or 5% HSA.
