Description:
Label: Alkaline Phosphatase (Calf Intestine) (Molecular Weight 140,000 daltons)

Application(s): suitable for immunoblotting (western or dot blot), ELISA and immunohistochemistry as well as other phosphatase-antibody based enzymatic assays requiring lot-to-lot consistency.

Recommended Dilution(s): This product has been assayed against 5.0 ug of Human IgA in a standard capture ELISA using pNPP p-nitrophenyl phosphate NPP-10 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:2,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Optimal titers for other applications should be determined by the researcher.

Storage Conditions: Store vial at 4° C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE. This product is stable at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Freezing alkaline phosphatase conjugates will result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of opening product.

Supplied as a liquid in TBS, 1mM magnesium chloride, 0.1mM zinc chloride, pH 8.0, 10mg/ml BSA (IgG and protease free), 0.01% sodium azide, 50% glycerol. Conjugated to Alkaline Phosphatase (AP).
Specificity:
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Alkaline Phosphatase (calf intestine), anti-Goat Serum, Human IgA and Human Serum. No reaction was observed against Human IgG F(c). Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at less than 1% crossreactivity against other human heavy or light chain isotypes.
