Description: Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is a class of antibody (or immunoglobulin "isotype") that has been found only in mammals. IgE is a monomeric antibody with 4 Ig-like domains. It plays an important role in allergy, and is especially associated with type 1 hypersensitivity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher Affinity Constant: 5x10e10L/mole Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light. |
