Description: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) are antibody molecules. Each IgG is composed of four peptide chains-two heavy chains and two light chains. Each IgG has two antigen binding sites. Other Immunoglobulins may be described in terms of polymers with the IgG structure considered the monomer. IgG constitutes 75% of serum immunoglobulins in humans. IgG molecules are synthesized and secreted by plasma B cells. There are 4 IgG isotypes, IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4. IgG4 makes up 4% of total IgG. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
