Peptide corresponding to aa525-540 of human IL-1RAcP, which is identical to those of mouse and rat origins The pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1 induced cellular response requires two subunits of its receptor, IL-1 receptor I (IL-1RI) and IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP) (1). IL-1RAcP forms a complex with IL-1RI in response to IL-1 treatment. The IL-1 receptor-associated kinase (IRAK), which mediates activation of NF-kB inducing kinae (NIK) and of NF-kB, recruits to the IL-1R complex through IL-1RAcP (2). IL-1 activation of stress-activated protein kinase and of acid sphingomyelinase also requires IL-1RAcP (3,4). Like IL-1RI, IL-1RAcP subunit is essential for IL-1 mediated cellular response. IL-1RAcP is expressed in many tissues. Applications: Suitable for use as blocking peptide in Western Blot with I5000-05. Recommended Dilution: Blocking: Incubation of I5000-05P with equal volume of I5000-05 for 30 min. at 37°C typically blocks antibody activity in Western Blot completely. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
Source: Synthetic peptide Concentration: ~0.2mg/ml Form: Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
