Description: Insulin is secreted from beta cells in islets of Langerhans in mammalian pancreas. This antibody may be useful for identification of beta cells in normal pancreas and in tumors of beta cell origin, such as insulinoma. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Expected Staining Pattern: Cytoplasmic Epitope Retrieval: Not required Enzyme Digestion: Not required Positive Control: Islet cell tumor/pancreas Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
