Insulin |
|
|
Description: Insulin is produced by the B-cells of the pancreatic islets. Antigen localization: cytoplasm, extracellular. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin sections, Proteolytic treatment not required; optimal results have been obtained by using the autoclave or microwave retrieval method (with citrate buffer)) Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 -1:100; Based on the indirect method, with a normal ABC method the dilution can be up to 5X higher when using the microwave retrieval method, but the optimal dilution should be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
