Insulin, Proinsulin
Description:
Insulin is produced by the B-cells of the pancreatic islets and by insulin-producing islet cell tumors.

Applications:
Suitable for use in RIA, Dot Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
RIA: 1:100-1:2000
Dot Blot: 1:100-1:2000
Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:400
Immunohistochemistry(Paraffin): 1:1000 using human pancreas
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:500
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Affinity Constant:
8.8 x 10e9 L/mole in RIA

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
