IGF is a well-characterized basic peptide believed to be secreted by the liver and to circulate in the blood. It has growth-regulating, insulin-like, and mitogenic activities. This growth factor has a major, but not absolute, dependence on Somatotropin. It is believed to be mainly active in adults in contrast to Insulin like Growth Factor 2, which is a major fetal growth factor. Endotoxin: <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug as per LAL Biological Activity: Recombianant Interferon gamma is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The specific activity as determined in a viral resistance assay is less then 0.05ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2.0x107IU/mg. AA Sequence: GPETLCGAEL VDALQFVCGD RGFYFNKPTG YGSSSRRAPQ TGIVDECCFR SCDLRRLEMY CAPLKPAKSA Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 7.7kD |
Source: Recombinant, human, E. coli Purity: 98% as determined by RP-HPLC; Reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O PBS to 0.1-1mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
