Human IGF-II is a potent mitogen for cells of mesodermal origin. It is composed of 67 amino acid residues, and is 62% homologous with human IGF-I.

Biological Activity:
The material is fully active as determined by the receptor-binding assay using a membrane preparation from placenta.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C. Reconstitute to with sterile dH2O or buffer, aliquot and store at -70C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
