IGF-II (insulin-like Growth Factor-II) is a polypeptide growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of cell types. Human IGF-II is a 7.5kD protein containing 67 amino acid residues. Endotoxin: <0.1ng/ug Biological Activity: The recombinant human IGF-II is biologically active when compared to standard. The ED as determined by competitive binding against plasma-derived IGF-II to human placental membranes is <1.0ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >1x10e6 units/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with acetic acid. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
