Integrin alpha2, beta1 (Collagen Receptor, VLA2)
The epitope is dependent on the presence of the (I) domain of alpha 2 integrin subunit and does not bind VLA-2 variant which lacks the Idomain. Inhibits VLA-2 mediated cell adhesion to collagen and laminin. Does not detect alpha 2 integrin subunit by Western blot presumably due to conformational properties of the epitope involved.

Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry, Inhibition and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoprecipitation: 2-5ug for lysate of 10e6 cells
Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue sections): 5ug/ml
Inhibition: 10ug/ml Inhibits VLA-2 mediated cell adhesion to collagen and laminin.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
