Recombinant IFN gamma comprises a 143 amino acid fragment (24-166) corresponding to the mature soluble IFN gamma chain protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.

IFN gamma is a potent multifunctional cytokine primarily produced by T cells and natural killer cells. IFN gamma exerts a variety of antiproliferative, immunoregulatory and pro-inflammatory biological activities in response to binding at specific cell surface receptors.

Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
