Interferon gamma is a lymphoid factor which possesses potent anti-viral activity. It has been shown to stimulate macrophages and NK cells. Recombinant Rat IFN gamma is a 15.6kD protein containing 135 amino acid residues. Biological Activity:The ED50 as determined by a cytopathic affect inhibition assay with murine L929 cells challenged with EMC virus was 0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a speci c activity of 1x10e7u/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized protein may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12-12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
