IRF1 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 1, IRF-1, MAR) |
|
|
Description: IRF1 (interferon regulatory factor 1) is a 45kD member of the IRF family of proteins. It is induced by TLR9 and INF-g stimulation, and positively regulates the expression of IFN-b, iNOS and 1L-12 p35. Human IRF1 is 325aa in length. It contains an N-terminal DNA-binding basic region aa1-140 and an acidic C-terminus aa141-325. Lys275 and 299 can be SUMOylated, which blocks activity, or ubiquinated at Lys299, which initiates degradation. There is a splice variant that shows an 11aa substitution for the C-terminal 86aa. Over aa171-325, human IRF1 shares 83aa identity with both canine and porcine IRF1. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
