Recombinant mouse Interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1a) produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 156aa and has a molecular weight of 18kD. Murine IL-1a is a potent immuno-modulator that mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses. Source: Recombinant corresponding to mouse IL-1Alpha expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~18kD Endotoxin Level: <0.01ng/ug Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine D10S cells was found to be <0.01ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e8 IU/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
