Recombinant Human IL-1a is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 159aa and having a molecular weight of ~18kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal aa was determined to be Ser-Ala-Pro-Phe-Ser. Contains less than 1% dimers and aggregates. Source: E. coli Molecular Weight: ~18kD Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Activity: The ED50 as determined by dose-dependent stimulation of mouse D10S cells is less than 0.001ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10IU/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration 100ug/ml. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~18kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 98% (HPLC, FPLC, SDS-PAGE). Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 20mM tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 5mM MgCl2 and 10% glycerol. No preservative added. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration 100ug/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
