Recombinant Human IL-1a is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 159aa and having a molecular weight of ~18kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal aa was determined to be Ser-Ala-Pro-Phe-Ser. Contains less than 1% dimers and aggregates.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Stable for at least 6 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration 100ug/ml. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
