Recombinant IL-1b-chain comprises a 153aa fragment (117-269) corresponding to the mature IL-1b chain and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. Interleukin 1b is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine produced by a wide variety of cell types including monocytes and macrophages. It displays a broad range of biological activity including activation of B and T cells in response to inflammation and the activation of endothelial cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, Dot Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Developmen t of rapid tests. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 21.88kD |
