Recombinant corresponding to 153aa of mouse Interleukin-1 beta expressed in E.coli is a non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain.

Molecular Weight:

Biological Activity:
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of mouse D10S cellsis less then 0.002ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 5x109 IU/mg.

Dimers and Aggregates:

Protein Content:
Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1.UV spectroscopy at 280nm 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of mouse IL-1 beta as a Reference Standard.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, HSA or BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
