Recombinant Murine IL-2 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 149 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 17231 Dalton.

Biological Activity: Recombinant Murine IL-2 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of murine CTLL-2 cells is < 0.2ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 5 MIU/mg.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, aliquot and store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
