Description:
Interleukin-3 (IL-3) is a pleiotropic, 15kD cytokine that is primarily secreted by activated T lymphocytes, stimulates proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. IL-3 supports growth of both pluripotent stem cells and more differentiated committed progenitors, as well as stimulates functional activity of some fully differentiated cells. IL- 3 has been shown to protect mast cells from undergoing apoptosis.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
IL-13 recombinant protein

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
