nterleukin 17A (IL-17A) is the original member of the IL-17 family of structurally related cytokines (IL-17 A to IL-17F) that share a highly conserved C-terminal region but differ from one another in their N-terminal regions and in their distinct biological roles. IL-17A is a pro-inflammatory cytokine produced primarily by T cells and is commonly associated with the allergic response facilitating the release of other cytokines, chemokines and prostaglandins from a variety of cell types. IL-17A exists in vitro as a homodimer of two 132aa chains. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa24-155 from human IL-17A monomer coding sequence, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
Source: E. coli Purity: Purified (SDS-PAGE) Concentration: As reported Form: Supplied as a liquid in 25mM Tris-HCl, pH6.8, 50mM DTT, 1% SDS, 0.1% Bromophenol Blue, 2.5% glycerol. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
