Description: IL-17R, also known as IL-17RA, is a widely expressed 120kD glycosylated type I protein that plays a central role in inflammatory responses. IL-17R associates with IL-17RC to form a signaling receptor complex for IL-17 and IL-17F. IL-17R ligation promotes T cell activation and the production of IL-6, G-CSF, SCF, and multiple proinflammatory chemokines. Within the ECD, human IL-17R shares 72% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat IL-17R. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:8000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml detects an ~10kDa band observed in Rat Kidney lysates (calculated MW of 96.1kDa according to Mouse NP_032385.1 and of 97.9kDa according to Rat NP_001101353.2). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
