IP-10 is a CXC chemokine that signals through the CXCR3 receptor. IP-10 selectively chemoattracts Th1 lymphocytes and monocytes and inhibits cytokine-stimulated hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. Additionally it is angiostatic and mitogenic for vascular smooth muscle cells. Recombinant human IP-10 is an 8.5kD protein consisting of 77 amino acids including four conserved cysteine residues present in CXC chemokine. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human T lymphocytes using a concentration range of 10-50ng/ml Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile ddH2O and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 8.6kD |
Source: Reombinant Human (E. coli) Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with sterile, ddH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into water or other buffered solutions. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
